today we are going to gather some knowledge about yoga. In today’s blog we will
be talking about what is yoga, from where it is originated, what are the
different types of yoga, what are it’s advantages, and why everyone of any age
should do yoga everyday atleast once. Before moving further we should know what
yoga is and from where it is originated. So let’s get started.

WHAT IS
YOGA AND FROM WHERE IT IS ORIGINATED?
Basically yoga is a group of physical,
mental and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in
ancient India. The origins of yoga have been speculated to date back to
pre-Vedic Indian traditions, it is mentioned in Rigveda, but most likely
developed around the sixth and fifth centuries BCE, the word ‘’yoga’’ meaning
to yoke, or unite. Though many people in modern times think of yoga as just a
physical practice that can help you become healthier physically, the deeper
purpose of yoga practice is deeply spiritual and intended to help unite your
individual soul with universal consciousness. Yoga is said to be as old as
mankind, though there is no real evidence to prove this belief, archaeological evidence
is there of presence of yoga around the year 3000 B.C. in stone seals.

WHY
EVERYONE SHOULD DO YOGA EVERYDAY ATLEAST ONCE?

great workout- yoga is a fantastic workout for your body. You can adapt the
practices to your own speed and level of comfort. No matter which exercise you
choose the practice will always be a part of a great workout routine.

It gets
you in touch with your body- yoga stretches and exercises are designed
around the idea of moving your body to increase it’s strength and durability. Therefore,
doing yoga on a regular basis will really get you to be much more in tune with
your body.

It can
help your breathing technique- A big part of yoga is the breathing
exercises or the pranayama, which are incorporated into positions and then on
their own. The exercises encourages a more focused and centered way of
breathing, and while they might not be something you’ll do consciously every
day.

improve your sleep- Another minor but pleasant benefit is that doing yoga can
actually help you get better sleep. This might be due to the fact that a few
sequence of pose and movement are intended to be done right shown that doing
some light physical activity before our heads hit the hay can help us get off
to sleep more quickly.

improve your posture- Yoga is pretty effective at helping you develop some
premium, proper posture, since a lot of the breathing and seated positions
require a straight back for proper effect. Good posture is definitely going to
develop during yoga practice.
